Checklist for Artwork Submission

PML accepts files from all major Mac OS and Windows applications that conform to the following specifications. Please ensure all supplied electronic artwork is press ready and adheres to the guidelines below.

We accept files from the following applications
Mac OS and Windows
Adobe Acrobat 6.0 (PDF)
Adobe Illustrator CS (.ai, .eps)
Adobe Photoshop CS (.tif, .jpg, .psd, .eps, .bmp, .pdf)
QuarkXpress 4.1
Adobe InDesign CS

Please Note: If your artwork has not been designed in the above programs please consult with our prepress staff to determine the best method of supplying your files.

Please include a colour or black and white hard copy proof of the job as a reference to layout.

Our maximum page size for digital printing is 320mm x 450mm including bleed.

Please make sure that 3mm bleed minimum is placed on your artwork where needed, with artwork being placed centered 1-up on a single page document.

Where possible please convert your text to paths, curves or outlines, otherwise the fonts must be embedded or supplied with the document.

Please remember to supply us with all the relevant files, including linked items for output (e.g. fonts and graphics)

All images must be saved in PMS or CMYK at 300dpi where applicable.

Make sure all colours are nominated correctly as PMS or CMYK and is relevant to the job you are submitting.

Artwork for printed envelopes must adhere to design guidelines as established by Australia Post. For further information please call PML on +61 3 6220 8444.

If you wish to send your files by FTP please contact our office to set up an account.

If you are sending files by email, please clearly indicate the intended email recipient somewhere in your message, and include details of any attached files and related product(s).

If delivery is urgent, please check your deadline is achievable.

Please note: Whilst every care is taken, PML cannot be held responsible for any errors on final output generated by you or the software you use in creating files for output. It is the sole responsibility of the client to review all material to attest to its accuracy. The final check before we receive your files is your responsibility.
